Itinerary
Day 1. Fly to Tucson. Pickup rental vans at the airport.
Overnight at Tucson.
Day 2. Birding Santa Catalina Mountains. This morning we will begin early and drive the Mount Lemmon Highway to Mount Lemmon.
After lunch we will leave and drive to the Desert Museum, bird the surroundings, then proceed to Sonoita.
Overnight at the Sonoita Inn.

Day 3. AM. Sierra Madrean Canyons: This morning’s birding includes the Fort Huachuca/Garden Canyon area.
PM. Eastern Huachuca Mountain Canyons: After lunch we will bird Ramsey Canyon etc.
Overnight at Sonoita Inn.
Day 4. Today we will bird Carr and Miller Canyons etc.
Overnight at Sonoita Inn.
Day 5. AM. Bird the Upper San Pedro River area.
Later in the day we will proceed to Nogales.
Overnight.
Day 6. Bird the Patagonia Rest Area and the Patton’s home.
Overnight.
Day 7. Bird the Nogales ponds etc.
Santa Rita Mountains:
In the afternoon we will drive to Madera Canyon.
Overnight at the Santa Rita Lodge.
Day 8. Bird Madera Canyon.
Overnight at the Santa Rita Lodge.
Day 9. Chiricahua Mountains: This morning we will drive to Portal stopping enroute to bird the Wilcox Playa.
Overnight at Portal Peak Lodge.
Day 10. Today we will bird the Portal and Cave Creek areas.
Overnight at Portal Peak Lodge.
Day 11. Today we will leave for Tucson and home, spending the morning birding the Rustler Park and Barfoot Park areas.
PM. Drive to the airport for flight home.
